There is something that we all have in common regardless of our differences: we all experience pain and suffering on some level. This retreat will offer a safe space to invite our pain and to experience the healing ministry of Jesus through a process called personalized healing liturgies. Just as touch is the language of love, and color the language of art, “liturgies can speak soul language in a way that is beyond words, beyond inner urgings, beyond rational explanations, beyond psychotherapy, even beyond the best pastoral care,” according to Tilda Norberg, founder of Gestalt Pastoral Care (p. 26). Norberg found that “. . . liturgies assist in new ways of understanding, engaging emotions, and surrendering to God.
